BCS Playoff Game Today: TCU vs. BYU

BYU Football

Today is another great day for idiotic college football fans that don’t want playoffs in college football. Those fans will claim that the regular season is already a playoff-like atmosphere and today could possibly knock off another team that is trying to sneak into the BCS Championship. No. 8 TCU travels to Provo, Utah to play No. 16 BYU in a game that impacts many teams. The Cougars were dealt their first loss last season by TCU and they look to return the favor this season. This same BYU team beat Oklahoma 14-13 and running back Harvey Unga will have a tough match up against TCU’s strong defense.

A key to today’s game for BYU is to find a way to keep defensive end Jerry Hughes away from BYU quarterback Max Hall. Hughes already has eight sacks on the season and will be a first-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft. Hughes will also be key in hitting Unga in the backfield. The Courgars have scored over 35 points in four straight games, but this will not continue tonight against TCU’s defense. Unga will lead the Cougars to a 24-14 win over TCU. This game is worth watching, just to see the beast that is Hughes and to see another BCS-buster get knocked out of the race.
