The Sports Animal reporting this morning that Nukeese Richardson, Janzen Jackson, and Mike Edwards all freshmen on Tennessee's football team have been arrested overnight on three counts of aggravated robbery. Knoxville Police Department has confirmed the arrests. WVLT Volunteer TV reports that a member of the UT Sports Information Department has confirmed the arrests of Richardson and Jackson. Edwards was seen handcuffed at the scene.
Three men robbed a man at gunpoint this morning shortly before 2am at the Pilot on Cumberland Avenue near the UT campus. The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a powder blue sedan. An officer spotted the sedan moments later on Neyland Drive near campus and brought the men to the gas station to be identified.
