Watch For SC’s Weslye Saunders Tonight

Weslye Saunders

South Carolina opens the college football tonight at N.C. State at 7:00 PM tonight. There are plenty of storylines to watch in tonight's game, but a very underrated storyline is South Carolina's tight end Weslye Saunders. He grew up in the Raleigh area and said he planned on asking Steve Spurrier if he could take a celebration penalty if he found a way to score against N.C. State. Spurrier made Saunders off limits to media the rest of the week and N.C. State players took notice. Saunders caught 16 passes for 214 yards last season and will be a big part of South Carolina's offense now that tight end Jared Cook is played for the Tennessee Titans. It will be interesting tonight to see how Spurrier reacts if Saunders scored a touchdown and does the moonwalk.
