Today is the special day that we give thanks to all the great veterans that are brave enough to serve our country. Without them, Will and I wouldn't have this fantastic blog. We should remember those serving our country every day, but this is one of my favorite days of the year. Out of all the SEC games I have attended, one of the biggest ovations I ever heard was at a 2001 Atlanta Falcons game. What does that game have to do with today? Right before kickoff, the Georgia Dome public address announcer broke the news that the U.S. just bombed Afghanistan and then the announcer asked every veteran to stand up. The rest of the fans in the Georgia Dome gave a reaction that I will never forget for the rest of my life. We salute people like my guys Mark Alfers, Dave Bell and Brendan Ryan that are brave enough to be currently protecting our country. If you enjoy inspirational stories, read the AJC article about a Georgia high school player that survived the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. It is frightening to think that we have tragedies like the Oklahoma City bombing and the Fort Hood shooting that happen in the United States. For all the amazing people that serve our country, here is Marvin Gaye singing the best version ever of the Star Spangled Banner:
