Here are the top 3 players by position through week 3. Standard scoring rules apply:
QB:
1)Â Â Drew Brees: Best player in fantasy football will lead all scorers again this year.
2)Â Â Peyton Manning: Has a Marino like knack for calling his own number at the right time. Healthy options at receiver have helped his cause.
3)Â Â Joe Flacco: Great ground game opens up the deep ball. Edges out Matt Schaab by a nose.
RB:
1)Â Â Adrian Peterson: No brianer. Threat to drop 30 for your team every week.
2)  Willis McGahee: Consistency puts him ahead of the rest. He’s healthy for the first time in a while.
3)  Maurice Jones-Drew: it may shock some that he’s ahead of Chris Johnson. Johnson’s numbers are based on one big week. MJD is just now finding his groove. Ride him regardless of matchup.
WR:
1)Â Â Reggie Wayne: May lead league in targets this season.
2)Â Â Â Marques Colston: Top receiver on top passing team in the game. He may not have the yardage as he splits targets with a number of players, but he has a nose for the end zone.
3)  Randy Moss: Hasn’t broken out yet, but he’s seeing the most targets per game of his career. It’s just a matter of time.
TE:
1)Â Â Dallas Clark: Peyton throws more passes than anyone in the game. Clark and Wayne are his only real options right now. You do the math.
2)Â Â Jeremy Shockey: Trust us. His targets are only going to go up.
3)  Brent Celek: Seems to be Kevin Kolb’s security blanet. Not sure of his value after McNabb returns, but a must start with Kolb in the game.
