John Smoltz was cut on Friday by the Boston Red Sox and now there are rumors of Smoltz moving back to the bullpen. The AJC's Mark Bradley asked the following question today: "Do you think Smoltz should be re-signed to help in the Braves bullpen?" [AJC] The Braves could use another relief pitcher, but I will be shocked if the former Braves closer has anything left in the tank.

I'm sure Smoltz wishes he had never left Atlanta. It was a shame to see him fail in Boston, and I would be very surprised to see him in Atlanta; thanks in large part to the meatballs he was serving up while in Boston. See you in the Hall, Smoltzy.
