The NFL Hall of Fame ceremony is later today and the NFL's all-time sack leader, Bruce Smith, is already making headlines. A Nashville television reporter asked the former Buffalo Bills defensive end what he remembered from the Music City Miracle. Smith responded," I remember it was a forward pass." [ESPN] As a Bills apologist, I think he is right, but the only unbiased person to say it was a forward pass is former Washington Redskins quarterback and former Monday Night Football analyst Joe Thiesmann. Anytime I agree with Thiesman, I immediately question whether I am wrong or not. Smith truly believes this, but that debacle is a thing of the past. Today is a day to honor Smith and some other players and an owner (Ralph!) that truly deserve it.
