Can Hardesty Top 100 Yards Against Alabama?

Montario Hardesty

Tennessee-Alabama kicks off at 3:30 p.m. today and Alabama's Mark Ingram looks to continue his Heisman-like season against Tennessee's defense. Monte Kiffin leads one of the best defenses in the SEC, but Ingram and Trent Richardson should run all over his defense. On the other side of the field, Alabama hasn't allowed a player to rush for over 100 yards in a game since Oct. 13, 2007. Both of these run games had similar situations coming into the season with highly touted freshmen running backs expected to challenge veterans for playing time. While Tennessee's Bryce Brown and Alabama's Trent Richardson have done well as freshmen, Montario Hardesty and Mark Ingram have had career seasons to hold off the young freshmen.

Both of the run games will be important in today's game, but Lane Kiffin needs Hardesty to have a good game against Alabama's defense if his team plans on upsetting the Crimson Tide. Hardesty will not rush for over 100 yards against Alabama's defense, but he could come close as he has rushed for over 90 yards in three straight SEC games.
