Our guy Will West had a good point today: All Georgia running back Washaun Ealey had to do before Satuday's loss to Florida was watch an old tape of The Three Stooges and he would have learned how to block somebody when they try to gouge your eyes. If you place your hand vertically over the bridge of your nose, this prevents your opponent from poking your eyes out. Since Ealey didn't have this knowledge, here is the latest fallout from Brandon Spikes' dirty play against Ealey:
Florida coach Urban Meyer suspended Spikes for the first half of Saturday's game against Bayside High School Vanderbilt, but ESPN's Mike Golic considers Spikes' act one of the biggest chicken-bleep things he has ever seen in his life. There are times when Golic can be annoying about his love for Notre Dame, but Golic has always been one to call a player out when he is wrong. Golic even said, "Everybody wants to talk about LeGarrette Blount from Oregon for punching that kid. I’ll tell you what. I’ll take the punch over this garbage. Any day of the week. Any day of the week over that garbage on the field of sticking your fingers in somebody’s facemask and trying to blind him. Stick your fingers in their eye? Are you kidding me?” Meyer should listen to Golic and suspend Spikes for longer than one half.
