Bradley Says Green is Best Bulldog Since Walker

A.J. Green

Georgia receiver A.J. Green currently has 527 yards and five touchdowns in only five games and Mark Bradley of the AJC thinks that Green is the best Bulldog since Herschel Walker. We think Green is one of the best receivers in the nation, but this is a little bit of a stretch. Champ Bailey and David Pollack would have to be some of the players ranked ahead of Green. Tennessee's defense will have their hands full with Green on Saturday in Knoxville.

  • Trust the people who have watched every Georgia game since 1980 to determine who is the best Georgia player since Herschel. Bradley isn't referring to STATS, but ABILITY. NOBODY IN THE NATION can do the things AJ Green can do. Period. He is a once-in-a-generation type receiver. Agility. Speed. Body Control. Vertical. Combine them and you have Houdini catching passes. NOBODY who has played at Georgia has been this great at his position since Herschel. Knowshon is the best back since Herschel, but AJ can do what NOBODY at Georgia has ever been able to do, and it's not even close.
