
Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford was named the starting quarterback of the Detroit Lions today after having a good preseason with the Lions. Lions coach Jim Schwartz said the Lions can win with Stafford, Daunte Culpepper and Drew Stanton. Culpepper seemed like the better choice to start the season, but Stafford has had great chemistry with star wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
