Tennessee's game against Alabama on Saturday will be the second time this season that the Vols will play the top-ranked team in the country. The Vols had a moral victory (loss) against the Florida Gators on Sept. 19 and now face the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. What led the Gators and Crimson Tide to the top of the rankings? It helps to have a quarterback as dominant as Tim Tebow, but the real strength of both of these teams is defense. Both of these teams have defenses loaded with NFL talent and the Crimson Tide have one of the best defensive-minded coaches of all time in Nick Saban. If you haven't had a chance to watch the dominant Crimson Tide defense this season, Smart Football has a fantastic breakdown of Saban's defense. Jonathan Crompton played very well against Georgia's horrible defense, but there is no way that he will have success against a Nick Saban defense.
