Kiffin, Orgeron Ride Chopper to Impress Recruits

Lane Kiffin Tennessee

Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin is all about getting Tennessee's name out there to impress recruits and Kiffin and Ed Orgeron might have pulled off their most impressive recruiting pitch Friday night. Kiffin and Orgeron flew in a red helicopter to the nationally-televised M.L. King-Stephenson game. They landed at a soccer field near the football stadium right when the Star Spangled Banner played before the game. The Tennessee coaches were in town to see star defensive tackle Mike Thornton and tailback Mack Brown. The Vols need a tailback with Montario Hardesty graduating and Thornton hadn't mentioned the Vols among his favorites before Friday's helicopter ride. It is one thing to embarrass Georgia on the football field, but it is just as impressive that Kiffin is relentless in his goal to steal some of the great Georgia recruits from the Bulldogs. One has to stay tuned to see what Kiffin's next recruiting trick will be.
