Breaking News:Outback Will Not Choose Tennessee

Many Tennessee fans were hoping that the Vols would get invited to the Outback Bowl, but WVLT-TV is reporting that the Outback Bowl will not pick Tennessee and the Vols are headed to the Chick-fil-a Bowl or the Music City Bowl. Auburn is the team that is now headed to the Outback Bowl while Ole Miss is headed to the Cotton Bowl. The Outback Bowl is a more prestigous bowl game, but playing Clemson or Virginia Tech would still help recruiting. A big win over either of those teams in Atlanta would do wonders for recruiting. The Music City Bowl would be a disappointment, but I doubt Lane Kiffin's team would lay an egg like Phillip Fulmer's team did in the Chick-fil-a Bowl against Clemson in 2004.
