Kiffin Press Conference Recap

Lane Kiffin Thinking of USC

"I look forward to celebrating and riding the Trojan horse all night long after we beat Washington State."

If only Lane Kiffin would have lead off his USC press conference with a jab like that. Kiffin seemed very excited in his press conference and mentioned multiple times that USC was his dream job. Kiffin called USC the "greatest job in America" and said it was a difficult decision to leave Tennessee. Here is what stood out at Kiffin's press conference:

  • Some USC reporter drilled him on Ed Orgeroncalling Tennessee's early enrollees and Kiffin denied any knowledge of it.
  • Marlon Walls and other Tennessee fans would disagree with Kiffin.
  • Kiffin did not seem happy that he had to answer so many Tennessee question.
  • He wants to run a disciplined program. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive and Mike Hamilton just spit out their drinks.
  • Kiffin told Hamilton that he will not call Tennessee recruits, but will he tweet them?
  • Kiffin gave a shout out to former USC star Keshawn Johnson. It doesn't help Lane's image to acknowledge a player  known as Me-shawn.
  • Why did nobody ask him about changing his son's name from "Knox" to "Trojan" or "L.A."?
  • Anybody else think that Kiffin would be perfect for those Coors Light commercials?
